Human Rights Law
Franklin Law provides advice, support and representation in the following areas:
- Complaints of Discrimination and Harassment / Human Rights Complaints
- Wrongful Dismissal / Constructive Dismissal / Unjust Dismissal
- Inadequate Accommodation/Duty to Accommodate
- Policy, Program and Training Development and Implementation
- Judicial Review and Appellate Proceedings
Human Rights Legislation protects employees from discrimination and/or harassment on the basis of race, place of origin, colour, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability and a number of other grounds.
Franklin Law takes discrimination and harassment seriously and understands the immeasurable impact it can have on an individual's sense of dignity, self-esteem and self-confidence when it happens in the workplace.
While Ron typically only represents victims of discrimination, from time to time he also works with employers who require assistance in developing and implementing non-discrimination policies, programs and training.
By limiting our practice in this way, we provide a supportive environment in which those who believe that they have been discriminated against can tell their stories and secure the redress they deserve, without fear of being judged or further victimized.
